SRIK beat Gandhinagar Sports Academy

Senior Railway Institute of Kankariya (SRIK) chased down the target of 187 in 41.4 overs set by the Gandhinagar Sports Academy (GSA) in their match at the SPCT U-14 cricket tournament held on Monday.

GSA won the toss and decided to bat first. While batting, GSA scored 186 runs in 50 overs while losing 9 wickets. The top two scorers for GSA were half-centurion Divyam Prajapati (50 not out) and Shubham Basu (32 ). On the other hand, SRIK bowlers Pratham and Vyom Joshi each picked up three wickets with Rushal chipping in with two more.

​​​​​​​ The target was chased in 41.4 overs by SRIK at the loss of 7 wickets. Rushal stood out with his fifty (53 off 60) followed by Jay Vaghela who contributed by making 26 runs. While from GSA, bowlers Ryan Prajapati bagged 2 wickets and Yug Patel got one scalp. SRIK won the match by 3 wickets and Rushal was awarded the man of the match for his all round performance of a half century and 2 wickets.
