Trump set to head back to Bedminster

TRENTON -- After spending the first part of the week in his native New York City, President Donald Trump will return to his private golf club in Bedminster on Thursday.

The White House announced that Trump will meet with several foreign leaders in New York on Thursday amid the annual United Nations gathering before flying to Trump National Bedminster in the afternoon.

Trump is then scheduled to appear at a rally Friday night in Alabama to support U.S. Sen. Luther Strange, who is competing in a runoff primary election next week.

The president is then likely to return to Bedminster on Friday night and spend the weekend at the golf course until Sunday, based on flight restrictions released by the Federal Aviation Administration.

This will be Trump's seventh visit to the golf club since he was elected last November. His most recent stay was last weekend.

Trump, a former Atlantic City casino mogul who owns three private golf clubs in New Jersey, has spent the last few days in New York for the United Nations gathering, where he spoke Tuesday.

The Washington Post reported last month that Trump was slated to host world leaders at the golf club amid the United Nations gathering. But it is unclear if that will happen over the next few days.

As with all of Trump's visits, there will be a 10-mile no-fly restriction around the club, affecting airports in Somerset and Hunterdon counties -- including Somerset Airport in Bedminster and Solberg Airport in Readington Township. There will also be a 30-mile temporary flight restriction in place.
