NANCY, KY (LOOTPRESS) – A Jackson County, KY man has been arrested following an investigation into the disappearance of a child who was transported from Pulaski County to West Virginia, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a residence in the Nancy area on March 11 after receiving a report of a missing child.
An initial investigation revealed that the child had been picked up by an adult man, later identified as 47-year-old Michael Moon.
The child was entered into law enforcement databases as missing, and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division took over the case.
Officials say evidence uncovered during the investigation led to Moon’s arrest. He has been charged with custodial interference and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Moon is currently being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
