Three people and one dog are dead following a plane crash outside of Silver City.

The crash happened around 9:10 a.m. Sunday in a remote area of the Owyhee mountains between Reynolds Creek and Silver City.

The NTSB, FAA, Textron Aviation and the Owyhee County Sheriff's Office are investigating.

Perry Grant with the Owyhee county Sheriff's Office says agencies returned to the crash site Monday morning for further investigation. The remote site is 13 miles off the main road posing a challenge to investigators.

After Monday's clean up, investigators have more to work with in finding the cause of this crash.

"The next step will be waiting for a bit of an analysis to come back from NTSB. i know they have requested radar as far as the travel of the airplane at the time. the manufacturer of the plane was out in the search to see if there could be a possible defect in the machinery," Grant said.

The accident occurred on BLM property but also spread to a small portion of private property.

The names of the victims have not yet been released. Grant says the investigation has fallen more towards the coroner for full identification of the victims.
